FAQ

How would you describe your style of photography?

STYLE | Each photographer has their “style”, for HCP, our style seems to be traditional, real, documentary but artistic.

How much experience does HCP have?

It is SO important to have an experienced wedding photographer. With 9+ years of wedding experience and over 75 weddings photographed, HCP is confident that your wedding day will meet yours and Whitney’s expectations.

What do you use for lighting?

As a natural light photography, HCP will do our best to use natural light FIRST for wedding portraits. We do have speed flashes/top flash, soft boxes, umbrellas, steady light boxes and much more. When natural lighting does not suffice, other lighting will ensure your portraits are up to par.

Will you guide us with posing?

With over 75 weddings under our belt, we know and capture all of the “important” photos. Of course, we always have specific shot requests and love new suggestions. You can expect HCP to go over a wedding photography checklist with you prior to your wedding date.

Will you have someone helping you at my wedding?

Without exception, you can expect HCP to always have a second shooter.

When will I receive all of my images?

While I know that you are so excited to see your wedding photos, editing does take time. Please be patient as you wait for your completed album. Each Image is ALWAYS hand edited and no batch editing is done from HCP. Please allow up to 90 business days to receive your entire album. We know that you are excited so you can expect to receive your “sneak peaks” within 24-48 hours. You will receive sneaks and your completed album via website and are able to download and share.

Will I have permission to print my images?

Once your album is completed, HCP is happy to offer print services to you, family and other guests from your big day. It is not necessary for you to print with HCP but is always recommended.

How do I book you and save my date?

It is first important to make sure that HCP is not booked on your wedding day. After we have confirmed this, we will discuss your package choice and sign a contract. After you have signed your contract you will need to pay $400.00 deposit to secure your date. Your deposit will go towards your balance!

When/ How do I pay my balance?

Your balance is due two weeks prior to your wedding date. If you would like to set up a payment plan, we can also do that! You can make payments via card, cash or check. Checks should be made payable to High Cotton Photography.
